Chance Mobley
I am dedicated to the research and application of Structural Integration. I have spent the last 10 years studying both holistic and mainstream body work. My training and education led to an in depth understanding and profound respect for Structural Integration and the Rolfing© method. I am also a personal recipient of the benefits.
At the age of twenty one I shattered my left hip while training in the martial art of Judo. After undergoing reconstructive hip surgery I was only allotted a fifty percent chance of keeping my left hip joint. Subsequently, I was told to expect chronic hip pain and an end to demanding sports such as Judo.
Looking to take an active role in my own healing process I began to study deep tissue massage and holistic body work therapies. Experiencing the benefits of Structural Integration set me on a path that has led me around the world and exposed me
to a variety of healing body therapies. As I began to master the techniques and understand the science of Structural Integration, my goal became to provide people with the same benefits I experienced and to help people become better aware of their own body and how it is affected by the world around them both physically and emotionally. Today I practice at my clinic in St. Mathews, the Foxhollow Wellness Clinic and the Norton Hospital fitness center all located in louisville Ky. I am also a black belt Judo instructor at The Toshi Dojo of Louisville.
I also work closely with MD's, Chiropractors, and OMD's to help maximize a patients progress through combined therapies. While a chiropractor works from a skeletal perspective, Structural Integration works the tissues surrounding the skeleton. In many cases this combined approach increases a clients chances of gaining maximum benefit from both modalities.
